PANTHERS STRUGGLE AT CERRITOS
The Cerritos Falcons have always been an SCC powerhouse and yesterday's match was no exception. The Panthers struggled against their 23 shots on goal with Aria Massey posting 8 saves.
"Going into the game vs Cerritos, we knew we would face tough competition and what we expected happened." Coach Kocsis continued, "They are a very quick team and we struggled to stop them on the counter attacks. When we forced them to play against our set up defense however, we played very well and were able to eliminate their strong center player."
"Vanessa Murray and Elizabeth House both played outstanding perimeter defense. Murray totaled six steals and House added an impressive five steals for our team." Arantza Aguilar scored Chaffey's sole goal in the 2nd period, unassisted.
The team takes a week long break before hosting El Camino Wednesday, October 16th at 3pm.
