TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore pitcher Mike Mulkey had his best performance of the season as El Camino College blanked L.A. Harbor 6-0 on Thursday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The right-hander was outstanding for the Warriors (12-8, 5-3) as he went seven scoreless innings and scattered three hits against the Seahawks (7-14, 3-5). He walked four and struck out eight to pick up his third win of the season.

Jason Davis pitched the last two innings and struck out five batters to secure the win for the Warriors.

Daniel Murillo, Connor Meidroth, Patrick Stark and Elijah Tolsma all recorded multi-hit days as eight of the nine batters in the lineup recorded a hit for the Warriors. Dylan Knowles blasted a two-run home run for his third round-tripper of the season.

For the Seahawks, Cade Bargar went 3-for-3 while Dylan Newmeyer recorded two hits, all singles. Gabriel Courtright took the loss on the mound after surrendering four runs on 10 hits in five innings of work.

The Warriors opened the scoring in the third inning on RBI singles by Juan Carlos Camarena and Meidroth to put ECC up 2-0.

In the fifth, Meidroth led off the frame with a bunt single and then Knowles annihilated a pitch from Courtright and desposited it over the fence in right-center to put the Warriors up 4-0.

That would be more than enough for Mulkey who retired nine of the last 11 batters he faced.

The Warriors will look to complete the sweep against the Seahawks on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for noon.
