Baseball Takes Two from Siskiyous

Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore Carson Seeman tossed a two-hit, complete-game shutout, and sophomore Evan Stauch went yard to lead the Butte baseball team to a pair of wins over Siskiyous, 5-0 and 8-2, on Thursday afternoon.

In game one, Seeman faced only 31 batters on the hill, fanning nine, in his fifth win of the season. Offensively, sophomore Jake Agarwal made his two hits count, both doubles, with a pair of RBI and a stolen base. The Roadrunners counted only six hits for their five runs.

Sophomore Aidan Moore and Stauch both earned three hits in the backend of the doubleheader with Moore posting a 3-for-5 outing with a double and two RBI, while Stauch went 3-for-4 with a home run. Sophomores Danelle Daniels and Patrick Barry also earned multi-hit games with a pair each.

On the bump, freshman Shaw Lee tossed four complete, allowing three hits and two runs, while striking out a pair. Sophomore Caleb Schaeffer (2-1) picked up the win, closing out the contest, allowing only one hit and striking out eight.

Butte (21-4, 9-2) wraps up the five-game series with Siskiyous on Friday, Mar. 31. First pitch for the doubleheader is slated for 12 p.m.
