CYPRESS, CA- Cypress Chargers baseball (13-11, 5-3 OEC) hosted the Saddleback Bobcats (18-7, 5-3 OEC) in the second game of a three game series. The Chargers came out of the scoring barrage victorious to take game two, 17-13. 

Eddie Hacopian (4-for-6) and Brenden Harris (4-for-6, HR) continued to lead the Charger offense as they both had 4 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Luke Honikel (2-for-4, BB) and Noah Karliner (2-for-5, 2B) both drove in two runs a piece. Edgar Rosales (3-for-3) had a double and a RBI to go along with his 2 walks. Trey Seeley got the start on the mound for Cypress going 4.0 innings, while striking out 4 batters and allowing 3 earned runs. 

The defensive woes for Cypress began early as Luc Stuka of Saddleback reached base safely via the error with 2 outs in the top of the first. The mishap would spark the Bobcats offense as they went for 5 runs in the first inning. The Chargers answered quickly in the bottom of the first as the first three batters loaded up the based with 0 outs. A Ryan White walk, followed by a Noah Karliner single, and a Mario Tostado base hit scored three runs for Cypress as the bags remained loaded. Edgar Roslaes, Cade Leifer and Eddie Hacopian would string together base hits as the Chargers tallied 8 runs in the inning. 

After a scoreless second, Luke Honikel singled to extend the Chargers lead to 4 runs. The Bobcats came back with vengeance in the fourth and fifth innings scoring five runs to take an 11-9 lead. In the bottom of the fifth, Brenden Harris sent a 399 ft. moonshot to left center field to drive in three runs and reclaim the Cypress lead 13-11. Eddie Hacopian knocked in 3 runs in the sixth and seventh innings as Cypress enter the ninth inning with a 17-11 lead. The Bobcats tallied two more runs in the ninth as the Chargers went on to win 17-13. 

UP NEXT: The series rubber match between the Bobcats and Chargers will be settled tomorrow at Saddleback College. First pitch will be at 2pm.
