MIRACOSTA WINS TWO TO OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY

The women's beach volleyball team at MiraCosta College opened conference play for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference with two wins.  The Spartans opened the day at San Diego Mesa College with a 5-0 sweep of cross-town rival Palomar College.  Within each five flights MiraCosta swept the Comets winning in two games. 

Next the Spartans took the court against the home college, San Diego Mesa.  MiraCosta won the overall match 3-2, winning the 3's, 4's and 5's.

The Spartans improve their overall record to 9-2, currently still undfeated against community colleges having only lost to four-year institutions. Next week the Spartans will travel to Long Beach City to take on LBCC and El Camino College.
