Women's volleyball secures first WSC victory over LA Pierce

The Moorpark College women's volleyball team didn't see things go its way Wednesday night in its Western State Conference opener against Ventura at home. But on Friday on the road, the Raiders redeemed themselves a sweep over LA Pierce (25-13, 25-7, 25-11).
Janesa Valoaga led the attack with 15 kills (and seven digs). Madison Fuller dished out 18 assists. Nola Canning had a team-high 13 digs in the match. Eleanna Laba added 12 digs.
Halle Perkins pitched in a second-best seven kills in the win.
After the opening week of WSC action, the Raiders sit at 8-4 overall and 1-1 in confernece play.
Moorpark will be back in action at LA Mission Wednesday at 6 p.m.
