Baseball extends win streak to 11 with SCC win over L.A. Harbor, remains atop conference standings

(Walnut, CA) With the game tied 6-6 through five innings, host Mt. San Antonio College (21-6, 11-3) scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth, which proved to be enough as the Mounties went on to a 9-7 South Coast Conference win against Los Angeles Harbor College (7-21, 4-13) on Thursday, March 31. The win gives Mt. SAC a one-game lead over Pasadena City College (21-7, 10-4) in the SCC standings.

Damien Delgadillo (3-4, R, RBI, 3 2B), Cristian Enriquez (2-3, 2 R, RBI, 2 2B), Nin Burns II (2-4, 3 R), CJ Ontiveros (1-3, R, 2 RBI, 2B), and Blake Borgogno (1-4, 3 RBI, SB) led the Mounties' offensive attack.

Trent Merrill (1-0) picked up his first win of the season, throwing three innings in relief of starter Jeffery Eisenhart (3 IP, 6 R, 6 ER, 4 K). Enriquez earned his second save of the season, pitching one inning while striking out one.

Ranked No. 9 in the current California Community College Sports Information Association's state poll, Mt. SAC will close out its three-game SCC series against the Seahawks in Wilmington on Saturday, April 2, at 12 p.m.
