Citrus College couldn't find the back of the cage in the second half, ultimately falling 15-7 to Ventura College Wednesday in conference action.
The Owls slip to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the Western State Conference, while the Pirates improve to 15-4, 4-1 WSC.
Teghan Miller and Gabriella Terry led the Owls with two goals apiece, while Sey Currie, Alyssa Woody and Gabby Orozco (three assists) also scored for Citrus.
The Owls were outscored 7-to-1 in the final two quarters as the Pirates swam away with the victory.
Citrus looks to bounce back at the Long Beach Tournament this weekend, taking on Fullerton on Friday at 1:50 p.m.
