Pirates even conference record with sweep of West Hills Lemoore

The Porterville College women's volleyball team evened up its Central Valley Conference record at 4-4 this season thanks to a 25-15, 28-26, 25-16 victory over visiting West Hills College Lemoore on Wednesday.

The Pirates have won two straight and are 7-9 overall.

Freshman Victoria Dabney once again led the Pirates' offense, securing a team-high 14 kills to go along with nine digs. Sophomore Madison Doty added 10 kills and served up three aces.

On defense, PC had four in double-digit digs. Keilani Resaspi led with 18 digs and was followed by Emily Kissick with 13 digs (5 kills), Andrea Frausto's 11, and Jordan Castaneda with 10. Castaneda also led the Pirates with 26 assists.

Porterville returns to the court on Friday (Oct. 22) when the Pirates host Taft College in a 6 p.m. conference match. The contest can be viewed live online at the Pirates' YouTube channel.
