Waldon's 6 RBI pave the way to 13-2 win over DVC

Despite some shaky defense that contributed to two unearned runs, the Folsom Lake baseball team got outstanding pitching and some big hits as they cruised to a comfortable 13-2 win over Diablo Valley on Wednesday at 'the Lake.'  Falcon starter Gavin Ochoa was in control, allowing two unearned runs on just four hits in six innings for his fifth win of the season while lowering his ERA to 2.73.  First baseman JT Waldon had himself a day to remember, going 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, and six RBI.  Left fielder Cole Tremain had two doubles, plus pitched a scoreless ninth inning.  Waldon's six RBI put him ahead of teammate Logan Sutter for the Big 8 lead with 46 and his .394 batting average is third best in the Big 8.

The Falcons will try to extend their current five-game winning streak when they conclude the series against Diablo Valley on Saturday in Pleasant Hill.
