Baseball Rebounds with 11-7 Win at Feather River

Quincy, Calif. - The Butte baseball team rebounded with an 11-7 win at Feather River on Monday afternoon.

Butte jumped out to an early 7-1 lead through five innings before Feather River started chipping away at the lead. But a four-run seventh inning boosted the Roadrunners with additional insurance runs despite the Golden Eagles earning three more runs in the bottom half of the frame.

Sophomores Aidan Moore and Landon Gomes both earned multi-hit games with Gomes counting the team's lone extra-base hit with a double. Moore, Gomes, and sophomore Ryan McCarthy also tallied a pair of RBI each.

On the bump, sophomore Bryson Reif (4-0) went five complete, scattering three hits with a pair of strikeouts. Sophomore Hayden Bode wrapped up the game, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings and only allowing two hits.

Butte (19-4, 7-2) returns home to host Siskiyous on Thursday, Mar. 30 for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
