Roadrunners Fall Late to Skyline in Game Two, 5-4

San Bruno, Calif. - The Butte baseball team fell late to Skyline in game two of the series, 5-4. The game started on Friday, but was halted until Saturday morning.

Sophomore Patrick Barry paced the Butte battery with a 2-for-4 performance with the team's lone extra base hit in a double, adding a pair of RBI in the top of the fourth.

Freshman Matt Deschaine (0-1) was the pitcher of record, closing the game for the Roadrunners. He went 2.2 innings, allowing only one hit and one run, while fanning three. Freshman Hunter Timothy started for Butte, tossing four complete, before sophomore Hayden Bode pitched two scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.

With game three of the series rained out on Saturday, Butte (4-2) returns home to host Yuba on Monday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m.
