COD Women's Tennis sneaks by the Vaqueros, 5-4

COD (3-0) fought their way to their third straight win, knocking off the pesky Glendale Vaqueros (6-5) in non-Conference play, 5-4.

In doubles play, the 1's team of freshman Hana Moss (National City Sweetwater Union) and sophomore Emunah Daffon (Palm Springs H.S.) won a strong back-and-forth match, 8-4. The 2's team of freshman Maryn Patek (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Ayano Tsuchiya (Yokohoma (JPN) Yokohoma Hayato) took down Glendale in a slightly easier match, 8-2. The 3's team of freshman Abigaile Corado (Norwalk John Glenn) and freshman Naylea Torres (Indio H.S.) fell in their match 8-2.

The next match for College of the Desert Women's Tennis will be at home, as the Roadrunners will continue South Coast Conference (SCC) play on February 28th at 2p by hosting the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles.

College of the Desert defeated Glendale College, 5-4 in non-Conference play at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
