Mt. SAC Baseball snaps losing streak with SCC win over L.A. Harbor

(Walnut, CA) Host Mt. San Antonio College (10-17, 3-10) snapped its three-game losing streak with a 5-2 South Coast Conference win over Los Angeles Harbor College (8-21, 4-12) on Tuesday, March 28.

Up 2-1 through five innings, the Mounties tallied three in the bottom of the sixth, which proved to be enough for the victory.

Top offensive performances for Mt. SAC included Gibby Morales (3-4, R), Joey Rossetti (1-3, 3 R, SB), Gabe Rico (1-4, R, 2 RBI, 2B), and Alex Rodriguez (1-3, RBI).

Starting pitcher Joey Peralta improved to 2-1 on the season for the Mounties, throwing seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned), and striking out eight.

The teams will face off again in the second of a three-game series on Thursday, March 30, at 2:30 p.m. in Wilmington. Game 3 will be in Wilmington on Saturday, April 1, at 12 p.m.
