Cougars Get Road Win at Citrus, Streak Moves to Five
Canyons (11-10, 9-2) is now 8-2 in its last 10 games hiding into the final two-game stretch of the regular season.

GLENDORA — College of the Canyons picked up a 3-0 road win at Citrus College on Wednesday, as the Cougars cruised to the sweep to win its fifth straight match. Set scores were 25-18, 27-25, 25-13.
COC sophomore Caitlin Liebe registered a game-high 13 kills to go with four assisted blocks. She hit .393 for the night.
Sophomore Damani Harvey was next with nine kills. She also had three aces, 10 digs and two block assists.
Ariana Vargas rounded out the trio of high-scorers for the Cougars with seven kills and nine digs.
Rhiannon Boddy had a game-high 19 digs and Abby Sherman helped keep the pace with 33 assists and three aces.
Canyons (11-10, 9-2) scored seven points from behind the line and added 16 block assists. COC hit .292 as a team compared to .109 for Citrus (8-12, 3-6).
The 3-0 result was the second straight sweep and fifth of the season for Canyons. COC also defeated Citrus by a 3-0 score back on Oct. 15 at the Cougar Cage. The Cougars have posted an 8-2 record since that match.
COC returns home at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 to host Antelope Valley College. A brief 'Sophomore Night' ceremony will be held prior to first serve.
