COD Beach Volleyball had two pairs teams at the SoCal Regional at El Camino College, with the pairs team of Tyler Davis and Alexis Dempsey qualifying for the CCCAA Final Pairs Championship as the #9 seed from the South. The State Tournament begins on May 13th at Irvine Valley College.

After a difficult South Coast Conference Championship at Long Beach City College, the Desert 1's team of freshman Tyler Davis (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) and freshman Alexis Dempsey (Palm Springs H.S.) exited the Conference tournament as an impressive runner-up and took their #5 seed to the SoCal Regional Pairs Championship at El Camino College.

Also representing the Roadrunners at the SoCal Regional Pairs Championship were the Desert 2's team of freshman Kyrsti Photias (La Quinta H.S.) and sophomore Katie Geiberger-Tiegen (Palm Desert H.S.), making their way through the SCC Championship, grabbed the 6th place title, and took their #19 seed to the SoCal Regional Pairs Championship.

While the Davis/Dempsey pair cruised through the first round, the Photias/Geiberger-Tiegen pair fell early and had to take their route to the State Championship through the Consolation side of the bracket.
