SAN DIEGO, CA (3/192022) -- In the second matchup of the season, the Jets bested the Comets three sets to none, but it wasn't an easy go. After dropping sets one and two, 25-13 and 25-16, Palomar found some life and pushed the top-ranked Jets to the limit. It just wasn't enough to force a fourth set as Miramar took the set and the match at 33-31.
Sophomore Josh Hixon led all Comets with seven kills on 19 attacks, while Konnor Rose had five on 16. Setter Brian Platte finished the night with 12 assists and a team-high eight digs. Joey Scott had two service aces.
Palomar moves to 2-9 and 0-4 in PCAC play. They will be back in action on Wednesday at Grossmont College. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
