Citrus College took on one of the top teams in the conference but dropped an 8-2 loss to LA Valley.
The Owls drop to 5-17 on the year and 1-6 in Western State Conference-South action, while the Monarchs improve to 14-9 overall and sit second in the conference with a 6-1 mark.
Citrus had five hits in the game, with Devon Diaz knocking two of them. Jordan Sheridan, Aaron Martinez and Diego Gonzales also had hits for the Owls.
