Beach Volleyball Gets Back to Its Winning Ways to Beat San Diego Mesa and Palomar

TORRANCE, Calif. - Now at 11-3, beach volleyball returned to its winning ways as they hosted San Diego Mesa and Palomar College on Friday. A good day on the sand led to the Warriors beating the Olympians 4-1 while going 5-0 against the Comets.

On court one, Michelle Shimamoto and Micah Hammond struggled against the Olympians but did not easily give up. The pair eventually fell in the third set 15-8. Aiko Waters and Kiana Takahashi also went into three sets but fought until the end to get the win.

Against the Comets, the Warriors did not give up any points to shutout them out. Victoria Curtice and Megan Lim had a close game, as they lost the first set by a two-point lead. The pair hustled to win the second set with an 11 point lead and finish off the third by nine points. Shimamoto and Hammond had a close game, winning the first set by two points and were able to win the second 21-18.

The Warriors will host Rio Hondo College and face San Diego Mesa once more on the Warriors' sand courts on Friday, April 7th.
