Baseball wins 4th straight, 10-4 over Yuba

The Falcons made it four in a row to open the 2020 season with a 10-4 win over visiting Yuba on Tuesday evening.  The Falcons scored in all but two innings while collecting 14 hits, including outfielder Braeden Holliday's second home run of the young season.  Sophomore catcher Alex Schroeder went 4-for-4 with two doubles and 2 rbi's while raising his season batting average to .667 (10-for-15).  Freshman right-hander Hunter Hayes pitched brilliantly in his first collegiate start, allowing just two hits and no walks while shutting out the 49ers over four innings of work.  Six relievers combined to preserve the win over the final five innings for the Falcons.
