(Lancaster, CA) Sparked by home runs from Nicole Siess and Alyssa Martinez, Mt. SAC (4-0) cruised to a 9-1 victory over host Antelope Valley College (1-1) in five innings on Wednesday, Jan. 29, to remain unbeaten this season.

Siess went 3-for-3 at the plate and, in addition to a homer, had two doubles while driving in four runs and stealing one base. Martinez went 1-for-3 on the day, with two RBIs and a run scored.

Other top players for the Mounties include Megan Jones (2-3, R), Alexis Lemus (1-3, R), and Ashley Rivera (1-3, R, 2B).

Annalisa Panuco got the win for Mt. SAC, throwing five innings, allowing two hits, and striking out three.

The Mounties will hit the road again to take on Fullerton College (0-1) on Friday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m.
