REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's baseball team lost at home to Lassen 9-0 on Thursday to snap a three-game winning streak. 

The Knights mustered only two hits in the loss, one from Mason Wood and the other from Nick Horsely. The only other base runner was Jaden Gorge, who drew a walk.  

Lassen racked up 15 hits in the game with Shasta starter Jordan Akins giving up six of those and Zac Billingsley yielding eight in relief. Akins allowed four runs in four innings and Billingsley allowed four runs in 1.1 innings of work. 

Shasta falls to 5-5 in GVC play and 7-17 overall. 

All spring sports have been canceled in coordination with the California Community College Athletic Association due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
