Beach Volleyball: Rio Hondo splits conference matches at LBCC

LONG BEACH – The Rio Hondo College women's beach volleyball team split a pair of South Coast Conference matches on Friday at Long Beach City College. The Roadrunners opened the morning with a 4-1 victory over College of the Desert and was edged 3-2 by host Long Beach to close out the day.

Rio Hondo lost for just the second time this season and moved its overall record to 13-2. The Roadrunners are 4-2 in conference action with four matches remaining. The return to the sand next Friday (Apr. 14) when they will face Mt. San Antonio College and LBCC at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach.
