TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College downed L.A. Pierce 3-1 (25-14, 25-22, 19-25, 25-20) in the Western State Conference opener on Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
Travis Hannemann led the way for the Warriors (3-3, 1-0) with 13 kills on 30 swings while Kasra Alipour added 11 kills on 21 attempts. Jake Stimpfig dished out 29 assists in the win to go along with five digs.
For the Brahmas (0-1, 0-1) Brandon Ta led all players with 14 kills on 39 attempts and Vinny Harris added 11 kills in the loss. Andrei Simber also added 28 assists.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday night when they take on Antelope Valley on the road. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
