Pleasant Hill, Calif. - Freshman Jesse Rodriguez fanned six to earn the save in the Falcons' 4-2 season-opening win at Diablo Valley on Friday afternoon.
Rodriguez threw 2.1 on the bump, allowing only one hit, after sophomore Edgar Aqui-Cruz (1-0) started the game, throwing five complete and scattering four hits.
Offensively, four Falcons earned a double in the game of the team's six total hits, led by freshman Herbie Lane's RBI-double down the left field line in the sixth.
