It was all tricks and no treats for Panther Football Saturday as Chaffey took on Mt SAC for the first time since 2019. Expectations were high as the Panthers had won the rivalry game in 2018 & 2019, but this year's Chaffey squad could not overcome the Mounties' offensive and defensive pushes.
At the end of the first quarter the game was tied 7-7 when a short pass from Kevin Lukasiewicz to Aaron Miranda put the Panthers' on the board. It would unfortunately be the only scoring drive for Chaffey in an eventual 38-7 loss.
Lukasiewicz threw for 149 yards on the night including a 30-yard pass to Cinque Jones in the 2nd quarter. Jones had 72 yards total.
The defensive line was led by sophomore returner Almani Bishop with a season high 13 tackles (10 solo).
The Panthers play their final regular season home game Saturday against El Camino College.
