The Hornets dropped a hard-fought game at home Wednesday as Saddleback walked away with it 3-0.

Fullerton had many chances to get on the board but were unable to convert leaving 11 runners stranded on base.

The Bobcats chipped away scoring three runs in the second, fifth, and eighth innings. Jack Collins hit a double to right field scoring Jason Hefft, Michael Davinni knocked a single to left center plating Jacob Naso, and Zachary Schwartzb hit a hard triple to right center scoring Jason Hefft.

FC starter Matt Romero (3-1) threw a good game going 8 innings with 8 hits against, 2 earned runs, had 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts. Reliever Ryan Chavez put in 2 innings of work with 3 hits against with 1 earned run.

Up Next: The Hornets (12-9 overall, 0-2 OEC) will get back at again with Saddleback when they travel to Mission Viejo on Saturday, March 11th. Game time is at 12:00 pm.
