Thrice as Nice

The Condors have played themselves back into WSC contention by sweeping a series from Hancock College, 4-3 in 10 innings.

Oxnard gave another gritty performance by scoring their first runs, without a hit.  They took a 3-0 lead through five innings, with a terrific pitching (and defensive) effort by Trevor Hammond.  Hammond went seven strong innings, allowing only three runs, and striking out seven Bulldogs.  Brandon Quirarte pitched the final three innings, for his first win on the season.

Jesse Romero (https://www.instagram.com/p/CbBkzZnpw9_/) was the Condor player of the game, going 2-3 off the bench, and sparking the Condor comeback.  Thade Miller (2-5, 1 BB, 1 Run, 1 RBI) had another terrific game and singled home the walk-off run in the bottom of the 10th inning.

Oxnard will be playing their next three games at home, because LA Pierce is without a home-field at the moment.  Tuesday and Thursday first pitches at 2:30 and Saturday at 1:00.
