Tartars Come Up short 7-3 to the Eagles

Compton CA - The Compton College Tartars baseball team (0-2) fell to the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (1-0-1) 7-3 at home.

 

Crixtian Taveras (2-for-4) led the Tartars on offense knocking in an RBI for Tartars. Aaron Cruz (1-for-3,) also provided some offensive spark for the Tartars in the sixth inning with an RBI double and scored on a sacrifice fly.

 

The Tartars were not able to score after the sixth inning to continue their push towards getting the lead against the Eagles. Tartars pitcher, Shamir Marshall was highlighted with two scoreless innings and one strikeout Relief Rene Galvan pitcher also collected two strikeouts in one inning.

 

UP NEXT: The Tartars will be on the road next on Tuesday, February 1st, as they play LA Mission College. First pitch is scheduled for 2pm.
