Cubs play tough against Moorpark College

On Tuesday, September 6^th, The Cubs hosted their first Home match of the season. Coming off a tough match the week prior, the ladies in blue were ready to face their opponent, Moorpark College. The girls played a man down the week before, but they luckily had one more of their teammates join them for this match. The match started off very quickly with the ladies almost putting a goal away within the first minute of the game. The game began to get more intense within the next 15 minutes. Unfortunately, Moorpark was able to get their first goal within the first 5  minutes. After constant battles with their offensive line and our defensive line, Moorpark got another goal on the scoreboard. By the end of the first half, LACC was down 2-0. LACC started the second half with much higher energy and urgency. LACC was able to get their first goal of the season in the second half by a great assist from Susan Zapata, putting Kelly Flores in a great position to hit the back of the net. The momentum of the game quickly changed but Moorpark took their opportunities and finished the game with 4 goals on the board, ending the match 4-0, Moorpark. The LACC cubs are no strangers to a great battle, therefore they are preparing for their upcoming matches and are ready to give it their all.
