The MSJC women's soccer team saw their four match winning streak come to an end at Long Beach on Tuesday, but the Eagles bounced back to pick up a victory over Compton on Thursday.

The Eagles offense could not get going Tuesday as they fell in Long Beach 4-0.  Goal Keeper Andrea Landeros did make 7 saves in the match, but an early goal by the Vikings in the 6th minute set the tone for the afternoon as LBCC added goals in the 47th, 65th, and 76th minute of the match.

Thursday in Compton Ashley Suarez scored a goal in the 39th minute to give MSJC a 1-0 lead which they would hold onto until the halftime break.  Compton evened the score in the 58th minute, but an Eagle goal by Brinley Taylor in the 82nd minute gave MSJC the victory.  Landeros made 2 saves in goal.

The Eagles are now 5-2 on the season and will return home next Tuesday September 20th for a 1 pm match against Porterville.  MSJC will move into Inland Empire Athletic Conference play on Friday when they travel to Norco College.  Friday's kick off in Norco is set for 4 pm.
