Knights Explode for 23 Runs Off 22 Hits in Blowout Win
San Diego City's bats came alive on Saturday with 22 hits in a 21-3 blowout home win over Imperial Valley as the Knights improved to 14-8 overall and 4-4 in the PCAC. Conner Stewart went 4-for-6 with two RBI and Justin Kerby hit his fourth home run of the season.

With the Knights already up 1-0 in the first inning, Kerby put two more runs on the board with his 2-run homer to left field to give City a quick 3-0 lead.
The Knights added four more runs in the second inning off a Gabe Jones RBI single, another RBI from Kerby on a ground ball, and a 2-RBI double from Quinn Johnson.
Imperial Valley scored twice in the third inning, but City responded with two runs in the bottom of the third, a run in the fourth, and four runs in the fifth inning to open up a commanding 14-2 lead.
The Knights scored in every inning and had a total of seven extra-base hits and 19 RBI.
Kerby ended up with four RBI and Julian Nunez finished with four as well on two hits. Jones, Alex Chacon, and Anthony Felice each had two RBI.
Jacob Hennessey earned his fourth win of the season after pitching the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings and allowing only one hit with two strikeouts.
City has a two-game series vs. Mesa this week beginning with a game at Morley Field on Monday at 2 p.m. that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was moved up due to incoming rain. They are scheduled to play at Mesa on Thursday at 2 p.m.
