Baseball Comeback Falls Short against American River

Fairfield, Calif. - Despite battling back to equalize the game in the fifth, the Solano baseball team's comeback fell short against American River, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon.

Three Falcons counted extra-base hits, led by freshman Shane Martin's triple. Freshmen Jason Pridy and Victor Vega counted a RBI each, and freshman Michael Vena recorded the team's only multi-hit outing, going 2-for-4 with a double.

Freshman Kyle Boll (0-1) was the pitcher of record, allowing the go-ahead run in the seventh inning. Boll threw three complete, fanning three. Freshman Ryan Radkey was the starting pitcher for the Falcons, giving up three hits adn fanning six.

Solano (1-10) completes the two-game series at American River on Friday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
