Palomar improves to 4-3 with win over Compton

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/30/2019) – Palomar took on Compton College on day two of the Palomar Thanksgiving tournament and won 92-71 to pick up their second win of the weekend.

Michael Brandon led the team with 17 points, a season-high, while Hunter Petty had 16, also a season-high, and Anthony Brewer scored 15 for the Comets. Antonio Green had 15 rebounds and Jacob Durham had 10 boards. The Comets committed nine turnovers but caused 12 to score 17 points off those turnovers. The Comet bench put up 34 points and the team had 44 points in the paint. Palomar shot 87.5 percent at the charity stripe, 41.9 percent in the field and 37.1 percent beyond the arc.

The Comets round out their tournament Sunday evening when they face off against Orange Coast College at 5 p.m.
