Sacramento, California. Claire Burkhart put the Hawks on the board in the 83rd minute of the season opener, as the Hawks lost the home opener 1-4 to Las Positas College.
Claire Burkharts goal was assisted by Hannah Lueras off of a brilliant short corner that gave the Hawks their first goal of the season. It was a rough afternoon for the Hawks as they fell behind early in the game. Down 0-3 at the half the Hawks took to the in the 2nd half and played with a lot of pride and passion. They tested the Las Positas back line, but lady luck was not on the Hawks side today.
The Hawks will travel to Solano College for a 4pm kickoff Friday August 30th.
