The West Valley women's soccer team jumped out to an insurmountable 3-0 lead at the break, thanks to a pair of goals from Kayla Potter, on its way to a 3-1 win at Los Medanos in the 2021 season opener.
Sophia Rodriguez added the third Viking goal, while Britcia Juarez had two assists and Isabella Colet-Ruiz added a helper. Veronica Cook played all 90 minutes in goal to pick up her first win in her first collegiate start.
The Vikings now head south to the New Balance Showcase at Ventura College to take on Clovis (9/3) and Ventura (9/4).
