Glendale beat Oxnard 12-2 Feb. 8; Cheatham and Hernandez have three hits each
Nine Glendale batters combined for 14 hits Tuesday Feb. 8 in GCC's 12-2 victory over Oxnard at home at Stengel Field to improve to 7-1 this season.
Will Cheatham and Brandon Hernandez led the hit parade for the Vaqs with three hits each and also had extra base hits with doubles. Alex Laureano had two hits and Aaron Treloar scored four runs to go along with one hit. Starting pitcher Dylan Goodrich struck out three and allowed just two hits in his four innings of work and Reece Matheisen earned the win in his one scoreless inning.
Glendale, ranked No. 16 in the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association Southern California Poll, closes out the week of play at Saddleback Friday Feb. 11 at 3 pm.
