Softball Returns Home and Scores Big Win over Pasadena

TORRANCE, Calif. --- After more than one month and 14 straight games on the road, El Camino College finally returned home and scored a 10-3 South Coast Conference win over visiting Pasadena on Tuesday at the ECC Softball Field.

The Warriors (10-7, 5-3) were the recipients of seven unearned runs thanks to 10 errors from the Lancers (4-14, 0-8) defense on Tuesday.

The big offensive play of the day came from Jamelah Lewis who hit a solo home run off the left-field foul pole in the second inning. That made it 3-0 for the Warriors after a two-run first inning. In the second, the Warriors would score four times to take a big lead.

Destiny Ostorga picked up the victory after tossing two innings of relief. She allowed one run on three hits. She walked one and struck out two.

The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday as Chaffey visits the ECC Softball Field. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
