Baseball Completes Five-Game Sweep of Siskiyous

Oroville, Calif. - The Butte baseball team completed the five-game conference series sweep with 12-0 (8) and 6-1 wins over Siskiyous on Friday afternoon. The series sweep marks the fifth-straight season in which Butte has taken all five contests from the Eagles.

Freshman Hunter Timothy (4-1) pitched a complete-game, three-hit, 11 strikeout performance on the hill in game one. At the plate, sophomores Evan Stauch and Patrick Barry both tallied three hits and a RBI apiece. Sophomore Danelle Daniels and freshman Jason Olsen went yard with Daniels counting a pair of RBI and Olsen earning three.

In game two, sophomore Aidan Moore went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, counting the team's only extra-base hits with a pair of doubles and a home run with two RBI. Sophomore Landon Gomes added a pair of stolen bases.

On the mound, sophomore Kyle Kucich improved to 3-0 in his six-inning, three-hitter. Sophomores Jaeden Fraley and Hayden Bode wrapped up the contest, combining for one hit and one three strikeouts.

Butte (23-4, 11-2) heads to Shasta next, facing the Knights on Friday, Apr. 7 at 1 p.m.
