No. 2 Mounties suffer first loss in the SCC to Cerritos, 2-0; 10-game unbeaten streak ends

(Walnut, CA) Two streaks came to an end for the No. 2 Mt. SAC Men's Soccer team Tuesday (October 26).

A 10-game unbeaten streak dating back to mid-September and a five-game shutout streak came to an end, as visiting No. 6 Cerritos College shutout Mt. SAC, 2-0, in a South Coast Conference game.

The win clinched the SCC South Division Championship for the Falcons. Mt. SAC (11-2-1, 5-1-1) remains in first place in the SCC North Division, ahead of Rio Hondo (4-1-2).

Cerritos scored its first goal late in the first half in the 40th minute and put the game away in the 75th minute for the 2-0 win.

Mt. SAC will host Compton (2-11-3, 0-6-1) Friday (Oct. 29) on sophomore night. The game time is 2:00 pm.
