SANTA BARBARA – The SBCC beach volleyball team competed in the WSC Pairs Championship this weekend, capping off a conference championship winning season by winning the pairs conference championship as well.
"We had a very successful conference pairs championship. We were able to send all six pairs to the tournament," said head coach Ariana Garner. "I am so proud of this team for working hard day in and out to get to this point. We have been grinding and competing everyday since January 4 and I could not be more happy with our effort as a team. The girls have such a tight bond and are all so supportive of one another. Conference team champions and pairs conference champions!"

"Kelissa Lemoine and Emma Crabbe, our 1s pair ended up taking first place in our conference tournament. I am so happy for this team as they have worked tirelessly on and off the court for this opportunity and were able to stay composed and capitalize. Each match they played this weekend they were in control. Their consistency and execution was unmatched and their ability to play at such a high level throughout the season was amazing to watch. Not dropping a single set, this pair, I feel really deserved this honor and I cannot wait to watch them compete at the regional tournament.
