Women's Basketball Gets Huge Win Over Santa Monica

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College women's basketball team hosted Santa Monica College at the Gil Bishop Sports Center in a Western State Conference matchup and came away with the win, 68-42.

The Renegades controlled the pace of the game in the first half limiting the Corsairs to only 20 points by the break. At the half BC had not committed a single foul.

BC came out strong offensively and defensively in the second half en route to the lop-sided victory.

Leading the Renegades in scoring for the evening was Brianna Mendez with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Dasia Wandick added 12 points and Jasmyn Rodriguez had 9 points and 8 rebounds.

With the win, the Renegades improve to 8-14 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Their next game will be on the road against conference opponent College of the Canyons on Saturday, Feb. 9th at 7 pm.
