Volleyball Takes Down Shasta, Hartnell in Friday Night's Matchups

Sierra College Women's Volleyball made quick work of Shasta and Hartnell Friday night, blanking both teams 3-0.

In game one, Sierra took down Shasta 25-16, 25-16, 25-13, securing their second win of the season.  Sierra's 42 kills was a team effort, with Jacy Dean and Hannah Platt leading the squad with 9 each. Bekah McGill was responsible for 20 of Sierra's 38 assists, followed closely by Corinne Williams with 16.

Game two was a fierce matchup between Sierra and Hartnell, but Sierra again was able to edge out the 3-0 victory, taking down Hartnell 25-23, 26-24 and 25-17, picking up their third win of the season. Another team effort led to 40 kills, led this time by Veronika Tupy with 9, and Hailee Mulic led the team in digs with 14.

Sierra, now 3-5 overall on the season, will host West Valley on Wednesday, September 15 at 3:00pn in Rocklin. Fans are welcome, so we'll see you there. Go Wolverines!
