NORWALK --- West Los Angeles College scored 10 runs over the final two innings to erase a late Cerritos College lead and defeat the Falcons by a final score of 12-7 on the road in a non-conference game on Saturday.

Kai Hershberger led the charge on offense, going 2 for 2 with a three-run home run in the ninth inning and 4 RBI. His bases-loaded walk in the eighth forced in Tristan Gallegos with the Wildcats' go-ahead run.

Jesus Sanchez (3 for 5, 3 runs) and Nathan Nykaza (1 for 5) both drove in a pair of runs while Justin Stickland (2 for 5, RBI), Gallegos (2 for 4, RBI), and Danny Gill (2 for 5, 2 runs) all had two hits each for the Wildcats.

Alexander Galvan started for West LA and tossed a pair of scoreless innings in the no decision. Vance Williams picked up the win in relief while Andrew Arredondo closed it out for the save.

Saturday's victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Wildcats and improved West LA to 2-6 overall. The Wildcats return to action on Friday (Feb. 25) at 2 p.m. when they begin a four-game series at home against Ohlone College. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. and close out the set on Sunday at 1 p.m.
