TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College put up another solid effort but came up just short of its first victory, falling to Mt. San Jacinto, 5-4, in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference opener Thursday at the ECC Tennis Courts.

The Warriors (0-4, 0-1) once again held a lead after the doubles action, taking two of the three matches. But ECC could not finish in the singles competition, taking the No. 2 and No. 5 matches while losing the rest.

The team will host Fullerton in a non-conference match on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the ECC Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
