Tartars win 2 of 3 to take the series against LA Harbor

Compton, CA- The Compton College Tartats Men's baseball team put on a sensational hitting display to take the series (2 of 3) and beat the LA Harbor College Seahwaks 15-9.

Both teams wasted no time as they both would start by scoring a run in the first inning. Confrenece rival Seahawks seemed to have all the momentum in the late innings. Going into the bottom of the seventh inning the Tartars were down 9-5. However the Tartars would show great fight with an array of players stepping up as everyone seem to get hot at the right time. Tartar players Michael HeardBryan VichotAndy Perez all had three RBI's each, which was an example of how well rounded the team was against the Seahawks.

The Tartars would go on to score nine runs in the eighth inning to give which would give them a lead of 15-9. Nine runs in one inning is the most runs in a single inning the Tartars have put up so far this year. Relief pitcher Julyan Rico was able to cool off the Seahawks bats as he pitched two pivotal scoreless innings for the Tartars to maintain momentum of the game. The Tartars are tied for fifth place as they have moved up in the conference. 

UP NEXT: The Tartars will be back on the diamond Tuesday March 22nd, as they will be at home against East Los Angeles College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30pm.
