SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College softball program bounced back with a dominating 8-0 shutout against Santa Barbara City College at home on Tuesday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (12-7, 2-1 WSC) came out swinging from the start after posting seven runs in the opening frame. Xchelle Glidewell and Madison Gamble started the scoring frenzy with a pair of RBI singles, followed by a bases-loaded walk for Carlissa Solorio. X. Glidewell found her way home in the same frame after a hard hit ball from Alyssa Jones resulted in a Vaqueros (10-16, 5-7 WSC) error before Abigail Salazar plated a pair of runners after a double down the leftfield line to close the inning. Briana Munoz recorded the final run of the contest in the bottom of the fourth after being advancing on X. Glidewell's ground ball.

Gamble led the Bulldogs at the plate with a 3-for-3 showing after driving in one run and scoring another. Salazar also finished with multiple hits after two knocks and stole one base.

Munoz collected her sixth win of the season in the circle after tossing a complete game. She struck out six batters and scattered just three hits through five innings of play.

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Thursday, March 24th, with a road trip to Cuesta College.
