Rams pick up first win, beat Napa Valley 5-2

NAPA --- Freshman left-hander Nevan Lee tossed 6 2/3 strong innings, allowing just one run while the Rams' offense totaled 11 hits in a 5-2 City College of San Francisco win at Napa Valley College on Saturday.

Making just his second start of the season, Lee held Napa Valley scoreless over the first six innings before allowing back-to-back doubles in the seventh. He allowed seven hits and struck out five to secure the victory.

Jackson Wood (2 for 5, RBI), David Balague (2 for 5, HR run, RBI), Aman Khera (2 for 5, 2 runs), Jacob Oliva (2 for 4), and Kevin Mueller (2 for 4) all had two hits each.

Wood's RBI single in the top of the first inning scored Khera to give the Rams a quick 1-0 lead. And up 4-2 in the top of the ninth, Balague capped the victory with a solo home run.

CCSF (1-5) and Napa Valley will close out the two-game series on Tuesday (Feb. 15) with the final game scheduled for 2 p.m. in Napa.
