With an undefeated record of 12-0 in Big 8 Conference play, the Sierra Wolverines were easily a heavy favorite against the Falcons on Wednesday night in Rocklin. And while the Falcons had high hopes of pulling off an upset, the #6-ranked Wolverines made sure that didn't happen, winning in three sets, 25-8, 25-16, 26-24. The Falcons improved with each set but were clearly overmatched against a deep and talented Sierra squad.
The Falcons (9-18 overall, 3-10 in Big 8 play) will look to secure their fourth conference victory of the season on Friday night when they host Santa Rosa (5-12 overall, 3-10 in Big 8), a team with an identical Big 8 record, at 6:30 pm.
