The Pirate volleyball crew began the 2021 season Friday 8/27 at home. With a squad full of newcomers, the Pirates defeated Columbia College (3-0) and West Hills College – Lemoore (3-1).

The Pirate's offense was helmed by Turlock HS freshmen Elizabeth Johnson and Ava Chiesa. Johnson led with 16 kills while Chiesa was right behind with 15 kills. 2020 graduate, Brionna Sims (Pitman HS), was the leading point scorer for MJC with 23 (14 kills, 9 aces).

Lanai Torres (Orestimba HS) steered the pirates with 54 assists and added a pair of aces. Freshman Kylie Kriese (Gregori HS) led on defense with 18 digs while adding 7 aces to the offense.
